Employee Shooting At Tyson Foods In Manteno
The small town of Manteno was the scene of a work-place shooting on Wednesday. The shooting took place at Tysons Foods and one person was injured. Solid facts are still not available but my sources claim that a disgruntled employee or ex-employee of Four T’s management pulled out a gun and shot the supervisor shortly before 2:00 PM on July 25th, 2012. Here are the facts that I have been able to put together:
- The shooter hid the gun under a coat.
- He shot the supervisor 6-7 times in the chest
- He then fled in a red Chrysler
- Police believe they know who the shooter is but as of 11:45 PM they have not been able to locate him.
- The shooting victim was sent to St. Marys Hospital and later airlifted (unconfirmed)
The manhunt for the shooter has been going on all day. I hear helicopters overhead several times today.
I know someone who worked at Tysons a long time ago for a very short time. I was under the impression that the Four T’s management was just the staffing agency but that may not be accurate. The Tyson Foods warehouse on the outskirts of the Diversitech campus. They basically deal with candy like M&M’s, Skittles and several other brands.
